Description
Acara Solutions is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our client on a Full Time Direct Hire opportunity located in Tampa FL.

  • Support the development of open architectures and applications, infrastructure, and cloud platforms to ensure they are best suited for Cloud deployment and consumption
  • Support the adoption of Cloud best practices and supporting technologies to enable such capabilities as DevSecOps, Big Data/Analytics, AI, Micro[1]Services
  • Support the architecture, design, development, troubleshoot, and implementation of cloud solution
  • Work closely with the Information Technology Security team to ensure the applications and solutions designed and deployed are secure and compliant
  • Effectively Interface with Customer personnel at varying organizational level
  • Must be self-motivated and expected to work independently with minimal supervisio
  • Report status on tasks and assignment
  • Must be able to generate preliminary and detailed designs as required for enhancements or modifications to existing designs, requiring the application of of current industry design concepts and utilization of basic technical writing skills.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field required
  • 5 years minimum of hands-on experience in a specific technology practice (Infrastructure, Network, Storage, Servers, Security, Windows, Linux, etc.) for both on premise and cloud resources

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Network and operating system experience
  • Experience with container management technologies like OpenShift, AKS, EKS, Rancher, Docker
  • Experience using a source code repository such as Git, BitBucket, Mercurial, or Subversion
  • Experience using a defect management system such as Jira, Bugzilla or Fogbugz
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
