Responsibilities

Peraton requires Systems Security Administrators to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3 located at Camp H.M. Smith in Hawaii.

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

Systems Security Administrators direct the implementation and monitoring of security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information. They must demonstrate technical knowledge of data systems and security procedures, as well as a familiarity with systems hardware and software, and security information and event management (SIEM) products, especially Splunk and ArcSight. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that Systems Security Administrators keep abreast of industry security and cybersecurity trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations that include network and security access policies.

Duties include but are not limited to:

    Managing a SIEM (Splunk, ArcSight) or an Enterprise Tenable Security Center deployment
  • Monitoring systems security and responding to security incidents
  • Participating in security systems testing
  • Ensuring integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data
  • Preventing and detecting intrusion
  • Directing systems security corrective action responses
  • Security tool usage and maintenance: Nessus, Core Impact, ACAS, Splunk, ArcSight, Yara, Open IOC, or other host-based signatures
  • Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors+ 8 years of experience, Masters+ 6 years of experience, or Phd+ 3 years of experience. Significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • 8 years of intensive and progressive experience in the candidate's field of study and specialization
  • DoD TS clearance or above required.
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAT II* AND Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin (Splunk Admins) OR Tenable SC Certificate of Proficiency (ACAS Security Center Admins)

Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
