Overview

We are seeking a charismatic, responsible recruiting intern to join our growing organization. In this position, you will learn how to work in a professional environment. You will gain hands-on experience in the talent acquisition field, working the entire recruiting lifecycle. You will learn how our organization runs and gain valuable insight on strategic sourcing, employment law, and problem solving. In addition to recruiting duties, the intern will have the opportunity to work with all levels of personnel including C-suite members of the team. Tasking includes researching, presentation development, document reviews, and meeting support. This is a paid internship. If selected for the position, you must pass a reference and/or background check.

Responsibilities
    Make outbound calls to potential candidates
  • Act as the front-line contact person for applicants
  • Source resumes via external databases
  • Review resumes against qualifications of job requisitions
  • Conduct screenings and reference checks on candidates
  • Draft position descriptions in alignment with job specifications
  • Ability to learn and understand employment law specific to recruiting
  • Utilize social media and other recruitment platforms to generate candidate interest
  • Perform clerical duties, maintain files, and organize documents; photocopy, etc. as needed
  • Perform receptionist duties including answering phones, answering the front door, in taking packages, and upkeeping facilities as required.
  • Update company calendars; type documents, drafts, and reports
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Enrolled in a current community college or university pursuing a degree in related field
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
  • Must have a 3.25 or above GPA
  • Eligible for DoD Secret Clearance
